I started the support local Grampians campaign to raise awareness and help people feel visible and valued.
social media exposure
Businesses and social media accounts cannot pay to appear on Grampians Eats. Individuals, cafes, creatives, shop owners, event organisers, photographers etc can tag #grampianseats or #supportlocalgrampians to be considered for coverage. Alternatively, send me a direct message via Facebook or Instagram.
Event promotion
To submit an event request, please email hello@kateeats.com. Events can include fundraisers, markets, festivals, workshops, performances, launches etc.
Please include:
- The event date, time, location and price (if applicable)
- At least two high quality images that can be used for Instagram and/or Facebook.
- Any other relevant information, for example flyers. The more detail the easier it is to promote the event.
- Links to your social media accounts and/or website.
- Any hashtags relevant to the event.
How can you help?
- Spread the word
- Tag #supportlocalgrampians in your posts
- Shop Local
- Write reviews
- Recommend local businesses, products and services.
Local business and events are essential for providing employment and helping our economy grow and thrive. Therefore, who we support determines who will be left standing. Check out my blog ‘4 ways to support local business‘ for practical ideas.
The Grampians is such a beautiful region and the community is very supportive. Even so , as a local it is easy to take for granted where you live. As a visitor it can be hard to know where and how to share your experiences.
The support local Grampians campaign is a way to promote the region and show our appreciation. In addition to this, it is a way to encourage people to engage and connect.
